The Vision of Four Figures

1 Now it came about in the thirtieth year, on the fifth day of the fourth month, while I was by the ^(A)river Chebar among the exiles, the ^(B)heavens were opened and I saw ^[a](C)visions of God.

³ And He extended the form of a hand and took me by the hair of my head; and the ^(A)Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the ^[a]north gate of the inner courtyard, where the seat of the idol of jealousy, which ^(B)provokes to jealousy, was located.

7 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel saw a ^(A)dream and visions ^[a]in his mind as he lay on his bed; then he ^(B)wrote the dream down and told the ^[b]following summary of ^[c]it.

⁷ After this I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, a ^(A)fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and extremely strong; and it had large iron teeth. It devoured and crushed, and trampled down the remainder with its feet; and it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ^(B)ten horns.
