¹⁸ “Son of man, the house of Israel has become dross to Me.^(A) All of them are copper, tin, iron, and lead inside the furnace;^(B) they are the dross of silver.

² But who can endure the day of His coming? And who will be able to stand when He appears?^(A) For He will be like a refiner’s fire^(B) and like cleansing lye.^{(C) 3} He will be like a refiner and purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver.^(D) Then they will present offerings to the Lord in righteousness.
