¹² As a shepherd looks for his sheep on the day he is among his scattered flock, so I will look for My flock. I will rescue them from all the places where they have been scattered^(A) on a cloudy and dark day.

³ The doorkeeper opens it for him, and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

¹⁴ “I am the good shepherd. I know My own sheep, and they know Me,

²⁸ Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock^(A) that the Holy Spirit has appointed you to as overseers,^(B) to shepherd the church of God,^[a] which He purchased with His own blood.^(C)
