62 These sought their writing of the genealogies, but they were not found: therefore were they put from the Priesthood.
63 And [a]Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy thing, till there rose up a Priest with [b]Urim and Thummim.
64 The whole Congregation together was two and forty thousand, three hundred and threescore,

62 These searched for their family records, but they could not find them and so were excluded from the priesthood(A) as unclean. 63 The governor ordered them not to eat any of the most sacred food(B) until there was a priest ministering with the Urim and Thummim.(C)
