^20 (A)that mighty kings have ^[a]ruled over Jerusalem, governing all the provinces ^(B)beyond the Euphrates River, and that ^(C)tribute, custom tax, and toll were paid to them.

²⁴ We also inform you that ^(A)it is not allowed to impose tax, tribute, or toll ^(B)on any of the priests, Levites, singers, doorkeepers, temple servants, or other servants of this house of God.
