¹⁰ so that they may offer pleasing sacrifices to the God of heaven and pray for the life of the king and his children.^(A)

¹¹ and pray for the life of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and for the life of his son Belshazzar, so that their days on earth may be like the days of heaven.^(A)

³¹ When the latter became aware that he had been cleverly outwitted by the man, he went to the great^[a] and holy temple while the priests were offering the customary sacrifices and commanded them to hand the man over.^(A)
