Ezra 9:9-11
Good News Translation
9 We were slaves, but you did not leave us in slavery. You made the emperors of Persia favor us and permit us to go on living and to rebuild your Temple, which was in ruins, and to find safety here in Judah and Jerusalem.
10 “But now, O God, what can we say after all that has happened? We have again disobeyed the commands 11 that you gave us through your servants, the prophets. They told us that the land we were going to occupy was an impure land because the people who lived in it filled it from one end to the other with disgusting, filthy actions.

Ezra 9:9-11
New International Version
9 Though we are slaves,(A) our God has not forsaken us in our bondage. He has shown us kindness(B) in the sight of the kings of Persia: He has granted us new life to rebuild the house of our God and repair its ruins,(C) and he has given us a wall of protection in Judah and Jerusalem.
10 “But now, our God, what can we say after this? For we have forsaken the commands(D) 11 you gave through your servants the prophets when you said: ‘The land you are entering(E) to possess is a land polluted(F) by the corruption of its peoples. By their detestable practices(G) they have filled it with their impurity from one end to the other.
