18 For (A)if the inheritance is [a]based on law, it is no longer [b]based on a promise; but (B)God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise.

19 (C)Why the Law then? It was added on account of the [c]violations, having been (D)ordered through angels (E)at the hand of a [d]mediator, until (F)the Seed would come to whom the promise had been made. 20 Now (G)a mediator is not [e]for one party only; but God is only one.

19 Why, then, was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions(B) until the Seed(C) to whom the promise referred had come. The law was given through angels(D) and entrusted to a mediator.(E) 20 A mediator,(F) however, implies more than one party; but God is one.
