6 (A) Now that we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts. And his Spirit tells us that God is our Father. 7 You are no longer slaves. You are God's children, and you will be given what he has promised.

8 Before you knew God, you were slaves of gods that are not real.

6 Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son(A) into our hearts,(B) the Spirit who calls out, “Abba,[a] Father.”(C) 7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.(D)
