6 And because you are children, God sent out the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, “Abba,[a] Father!” 7 So you are no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
8 However at that time, not knowing God, you were in bondage to those who by nature are not gods.

6 Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son(A) into our hearts,(B) the Spirit who calls out, “Abba,[a] Father.”(C) 7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.(D)

8 Formerly, when you did not know God,(E) you were slaves(F) to those who by nature are not gods.(G)
