¹⁹ Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: ^(A)sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior, ²⁰ idolatry, ^(B)witchcraft, hostilities, ^(C)strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, ^(D)selfish ambition, dissensions, ^(E)factions, ²¹ envy, ^(F)drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not ^(G)inherit the kingdom of God.

³ But ^(A)sexual immorality ^[a]or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among ^[b]saints;

⁵ For this you know with certainty, that ^(A)no sexually immoral or ^[a]impure or greedy person, which ^[b]amounts to an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom ^(B)of Christ and God.

^6 (C)See that no one deceives you with empty words, for because of these things ^(D)the wrath of God comes upon ^(E)the ^[c]sons of disobedience.

⁹ Or ^(A)do you not know that the unrighteous will not ^(B)inherit the kingdom of God? ^(C)Do not be deceived; ^(D)neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor ^[a]homosexuals, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will ^(E)inherit the kingdom of God.

The Mystery of Resurrection

⁵⁰ Now I say this, brothers and sisters, that ^(A)flesh and blood cannot ^(B)inherit the kingdom of God; nor does ^[a]the perishable inherit ^[b](C)the imperishable.

⁴ Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and ^(A)sin is lawlessness.

⁸ the one who practices sin is ^(A)of the devil; for the devil ^[a]has been sinning from the beginning. ^(B)The Son of God ^(C)appeared for this purpose, ^(D)to destroy the works of the devil.

⁴ For ^(A)if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into ^[a]hell and ^(B)committed them to ^[b]pits of darkness, held for judgment; ⁵ and did not spare ^(C)the ancient world, but protected ^(D)Noah, a ^[c]preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when He brought a ^(E)flood upon the world of the ungodly; ⁶ and if He ^(F)condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an ^(G)example ^[d]of what is coming for the ^(H)ungodly;

¹⁴ having eyes full of adultery ^[a]that never cease from sin, ^(A)enticing ^(B)unstable souls, having hearts trained in ^(C)greed, ^(D)accursed children;
