Chapter 28

¹ Isaac called to Jacob and blessed him and gave him this command: “You must not take a wife from among the daughters of Canaan. ² Up, go to Paddan-aram, to the house of Bethuel, the father of your mother, and take a wife from there, from among the daughters of Laban, the brother of your mother. ³ May God Almighty bless you; may he make you fruitful and multiply you, so that you become a multitude of people. ⁴ May he give you the blessing of Abraham, to you and your descendants, so that you may possess the land in which you have dwelt as an alien, the land that God gave to Abraham.”
