6 Era Yuda n’awasiza mutabani we omukulu, Eri, omukazi erinnya lye Tamali. 7 (A)Naye Eri mutabani wa Yuda omukulu n’aba mwonoonyi mu maaso ga Mukama; Mukama n’amutta.
8 (B)Awo Yuda n’agamba Onani nti, “Genda eri muka muganda wo, ofunire muganda wo ezzadde.”

6 Judah got a wife for Er, his firstborn, and her name was Tamar.(A) 7 But Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the Lord’s sight;(B) so the Lord put him to death.(C)
8 Then Judah said to Onan, “Sleep with your brother’s wife and fulfill your duty to her as a brother-in-law to raise up offspring for your brother.”(D)
