Genesis 1:16-18

16 God made two powerful lights, the brighter one to rule the day and the other[a] to rule the night. He also made the stars. 17 Then God put these lights in the sky to shine on the earth, 18 to rule day and night, and to separate light from darkness. God looked at what he had done, and it was good.

16 God made two great lights—the greater light(A) to govern(B) the day and the lesser light to govern(C) the night.(D) He also made the stars.(E) 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night,(F) and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.(G)
