⁹ Then Abram set out and continued toward the Negev.^(A)

¹⁷ When Moses sent them to explore Canaan,^(A) he said, “Go up through the Negev^(B) and on into the hill country.^(C)

⁷ Break camp and advance into the hill country of the Amorites;^(A) go to all the neighboring peoples in the Arabah,^(B) in the mountains, in the western foothills, in the Negev^(C) and along the coast, to the land of the Canaanites^(D) and to Lebanon,^(E) as far as the great river, the Euphrates.^(F)

⁹ After that, Judah went down to fight against the Canaanites living in the hill country,^(A) the Negev^(B) and the western foothills.
