¹¹ The angel of the Lord^(A) also said to her:

¹⁹ Then God said, “Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son,^(A) and you will call him Isaac.^[a](B) I will establish my covenant with him^(C) as an everlasting covenant^(D) for his descendants after him.

⁶⁰ but his mother spoke up and said, “No! He is to be called John.”^(A)

⁶³ He asked for a writing tablet, and to everyone’s astonishment he wrote, “His name is John.”^(A)
