24 Then the Lord (A)rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah, brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven,
25 And overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that grew upon the earth.
26 ¶ Now his wife behind him looked back, and she became a [a]pillar of salt.

24 Then the Lord rained down burning sulfur(A) on Sodom and Gomorrah(B)—from the Lord out of the heavens.(C) 25 Thus he overthrew those cities(D) and the entire plain,(E) destroying all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land.(F) 26 But Lot’s wife looked back,(G) and she became a pillar of salt.(H)
