²⁴ Then the Lord ^(A)rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven, ²⁵ and ^(B)He overthrew those cities, and all the ^[a]valley, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground.

¹⁸ Like the ^(A)overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah with its neighbors,” says the Lord, “^(B)no one will live there, nor will a son of man reside in it.

^28 [a]It was the same as happened in ^(A)the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building; ²⁹ but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and ^[b]brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. ³⁰ It will be ^[c]just the same on the day that the Son of Man ^(B)is revealed.

⁶ and if He ^(A)condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an ^(B)example to those who would ^(C)live ungodly lives thereafter;

⁷ just as ^(A)Sodom and Gomorrah and the ^(B)cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and ^(C)went after ^[a]strange flesh, are exhibited as an ^[b](D)example in undergoing the ^(E)punishment of eternal fire.
