7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
8 And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed.
9 And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

7 Then the Lord God formed(A) a man[a](B) from the dust(C) of the ground(D) and breathed into his nostrils the breath(E) of life,(F) and the man became a living being.(G)
8 Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden;(H) and there he put the man he had formed. 9 The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees(I) that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life(J) and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.(K)
