⁹ Out of the ground the Lord God caused ^(A)every tree to grow that is pleasing to the sight and good for food; ^(B)the tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

^7 (A)The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. ^(B)To the one who overcomes, I will grant to eat from ^(C)the tree of life, which is in the ^(D)Paradise of God.’

¹⁴ Blessed are those who ^(A)wash their robes, so that they will have the right to ^(B)the tree of life, and may ^(C)enter the city by the ^(D)gates.

¹⁹ and if anyone ^(A)takes away from the ^(B)words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from ^(C)the tree of life and ^[a]from the holy city, ^(D)which are written in this book.
