¹⁷ So Abraham ^(A)prayed to God; and God ^(B)healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female servants. Then they bore children;

⁸ Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, ^(A)“Entreat^[a] the Lord that He may take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will let the people ^(B)go, that they may sacrifice to the Lord.”

² Then the people ^(A)cried out to Moses, and when Moses ^(B)prayed to the Lord, the fire was ^[a]quenched.

¹³ So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “Please ^(A)heal her, O God, I pray!”

⁵ And Samuel said, ^(A)“Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and ^(B)I will pray to the Lord for you.”

⁶ Then the king answered and said to the man of God, “Please ^(A)entreat the favor of the Lord your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored to me.”

So the man of God entreated the Lord, and the king’s hand was restored to him, and became as before.

⁸ Now therefore, take for yourselves ^(A)seven bulls and seven rams, ^(B)go to My servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job shall ^(C)pray for you. For I will accept ^[a]him, lest I deal with you according to your folly; because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.”

³ And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah, and ^(A)Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, ^(B)“Pray now to the Lord our God for us.”
