Genesis 21:11-13
New American Standard Bible
11 (A)The matter [a]distressed Abraham greatly because of his son Ishmael. 12 But God said to Abraham, “[b]Do not be distressed because of the boy and your slave woman; whatever Sarah tells you, listen to her, for (B)through Isaac [c]your descendants shall be named. 13 And of (C)the son of the slave woman I will make a nation also, because he is your [d]descendant.”

11 The matter distressed Abraham greatly because it concerned his son.(A) 12 But God said to him, “Do not be so distressed about the boy and your slave woman. Listen to whatever Sarah tells you, because it is through Isaac that your offspring[a] will be reckoned.(B) 13 I will make the son of the slave into a nation(C) also, because he is your offspring.”
