22 At that time Abimelek and his army commander, Phicol, spoke to Abraham. They said to Abraham, “God is with you in everything you do. 23 Now make a promise to me here while God is watching. Give me your word that you will treat me fairly. Promise that you will treat my children and their children the same way. I’ve been kind to you. Now you be kind to me and the country where you are living as an outsider.”

21 While he was living in the Desert of Paran,(A) his mother got a wife for him(B) from Egypt.
The Treaty at Beersheba
22 At that time Abimelek(C) and Phicol the commander of his forces(D) said to Abraham, “God is with you in everything you do.(E) 23 Now swear(F) to me here before God that you will not deal falsely with me or my children or my descendants.(G) Show to me and the country where you now reside as a foreigner the same kindness I have shown to you.”(H)
