16 and said, “By Myself I have sworn,”(A) this is the Lord’s declaration: “Because you have done this thing and have not withheld your only son,[a] 17 I will indeed bless you(B) and make your offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky(C) and the sand on the seashore.(D) Your offspring will possess the gates of their enemies.(E) 18 And all the nations of the earth will be blessed[b] by your offspring(F) because you have obeyed My command.”

16 and said, “I swear by myself,(A) declares the Lord, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son,(B) 17 I will surely bless you(C) and make your descendants(D) as numerous as the stars in the sky(E) and as the sand on the seashore.(F) Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies,(G) 18 and through your offspring[a] all nations on earth will be blessed,[b](H) because you have obeyed me.”(I)

18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
