⁴ “I am a foreigner and stranger^(A) among you. Sell me some property for a burial site here so I can bury my dead.^(B)”

⁴ I also established my covenant^(A) with them to give them the land^(B) of Canaan, where they resided as foreigners.^(C)

¹⁵ We are foreigners and strangers^(A) in your sight, as were all our ancestors. Our days on earth are like a shadow,^(B) without hope.

¹³ All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised;^(A) they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance,^(B) admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.^(C)
