25 And the first came forth [a]red, all over like a hairy garment; and they called his name Esau. 26 And after that came forth his brother, and his hand had hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called [b]Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.
27 And the boys grew: and Esau was a skilful hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a [c]quiet man, dwelling in tents.

25 The first to come out was red,(A) and his whole body was like a hairy garment;(B) so they named him Esau.[a](C) 26 After this, his brother came out,(D) with his hand grasping Esau’s heel;(E) so he was named Jacob.[b](F) Isaac was sixty years old(G) when Rebekah gave birth to them.
27 The boys grew up, and Esau became a skillful hunter,(H) a man of the open country,(I) while Jacob was content to stay at home among the tents.
