Jacob obeyed his father and mother and left for Paddan Aram. Then Esau realized[a] that the Canaanite women[b] were displeasing to[c] his father Isaac. So Esau went to Ishmael and married[d] Mahalath, the sister of Nebaioth and daughter of Abraham’s son Ishmael, along with the wives he already had.
