Genesis 28:12-14

¹² And ^(A)he had a dream, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth with its top reaching to heaven; and behold, ^(B)the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. ¹³ Then behold, ^(C)the Lord was standing ^[a]above it and said, “I am the Lord, ^(D)the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give ^(E)to you and to ^(F)your ^[b]descendants. ¹⁴ Your ^[c]descendants will also be like ^(G)the dust of the earth, and you will ^[d]spread out ^(H)to the west and to the east, and to the north and to the south; and ^(I)in you and in your ^[e]descendants shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
