Genesis 3:20-22

20 And the man[a] named[b] his wife Eve, because she was the mother of all life. 21 And Yahweh God made for Adam[c] and for his wife garments of skin, and he clothed them.
22 And Yahweh God said, “Look—the man has become as one of us, to know good and evil. What if[d] he stretches out his hand and takes also from the tree of life and eats, and lives forever?”

New International Version
20 Adam[a] named his wife Eve,[b](A) because she would become the mother of all the living.
21 The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.(B) 22 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us,(C) knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life(D) and eat, and live forever.”
