⁸ Now they heard the sound of ^(A)the Lord God walking in the garden in the ^[a]cool of the day, ^(B)and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

¹⁴ Since ^(A)the Lord your God walks in the midst of your camp to save you and to ^[a]defeat your enemies before you, your camp must be ^(B)holy; so He must not see ^[b]anything indecent among you ^[c]or He will turn away from you.

¹⁶ Or ^(A)what agreement does ^[a]the temple of God have with idols? For we are ^[b](B)the temple of ^(C)the living God; just as God said,
