48 Laban said, “(A)This heap is a witness between [a]you and me this day.” Therefore it was named Galeed, 49 and [b](B)Mizpah, for he said, “May the Lord keep watch between [c]you and me when we are [d]absent one from the other. 50 If you mistreat my daughters, or if you take wives besides my daughters, although no one is with us, see, (C)God is witness between [e]you and me.”
