⁵⁴and Jacob offered a sacrifice in the hill country and called ^(A)his kinsmen to eat bread. They ate bread and spent the night in the hill country.

⁵⁴He offered a sacrifice^(A) there in the hill country and invited his relatives to a meal.^(B) After they had eaten, they spent the night there.

²⁵they prepared ^(A)the present for Joseph's coming at noon, for they heard that they should eat bread there.

²⁵They prepared their gifts^(A) for Joseph’s arrival at noon,^(B) because they had heard that they were to eat there.
