54 Then Jacob offered a sacrifice on the mountain and invited his relatives to eat a meal. So they ate a meal and spent the night on the mountain. 55 Laban got up early in the morning, kissed his grandchildren and daughters, and blessed them. Then Laban left to return home.

54 He offered a sacrifice(A) there in the hill country and invited his relatives to a meal.(B) After they had eaten, they spent the night there.
55 Early the next morning Laban kissed his grandchildren and his daughters(C) and blessed(D) them. Then he left and returned home.[a](E)
