²⁰ and you shall say, ‘Behold, your servant Jacob also is behind us.’” For he said, “I will appease him with the gift that goes ahead of me. Then afterward I will see his face; perhaps he will accept me.”

²⁵ So they prepared ^(A)the gift ^[a]for Joseph’s arrival at noon; for they had heard that they were to eat ^[b]a meal there.

²⁶ When Joseph came home, they brought into the house to him the gift which was in their hand, and they ^(B)bowed down to the ground before him.
