Genesis 32:27-29
International Standard Version
27 Then the man[a] asked him, “What’s your name?”
“Jacob,” he responded
28 “Your name won’t be[b] Jacob anymore,” the man[c] replied, “but Israel, because you exerted yourself against both God and men, and you’ve emerged victorious.”
29 “Please,” Jacob inquired, “Tell me your name.”
But he asked, “Why are you asking about my name?” And he blessed Jacob[d] there.

New International Version
27 The man asked him, “What is your name?”
“Jacob,”(A) he answered.
28 Then the man said, “Your name(B) will no longer be Jacob, but Israel,[a](C) because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”(D)
29 Jacob said, “Please tell me your name.”(E)
But he replied, “Why do you ask my name?”(F) Then he blessed(G) him there.
