Genesis 32:29-31

29 Jacob asked him, “Please tell me your name.”
He said, “Why do you ask what my name is?” Then he blessed him there.
30 Jacob named the place Peniel,[a] because he said, “I have seen God face-to-face, and my life has been spared.” 31 The sun rose as he crossed over at Peniel, and he was limping because of his thigh.

New International Version
29 Jacob said, “Please tell me your name.”(A)
But he replied, “Why do you ask my name?”(B) Then he blessed(C) him there.
30 So Jacob called the place Peniel,[a] saying, “It is because I saw God face to face,(D) and yet my life was spared.”
31 The sun rose above him as he passed Peniel,[b](E) and he was limping because of his hip.
