2 Whom when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite lord of that country saw, he took her, and lay with her, and [a]defiled her.
3 So his heart clave unto Dinah the daughter of Jacob: and he loved the maid, and [b]spake kindly to the maid.
4 Then said Shechem to his father Hamor, saying, [c]Get me this maid to wife.

2 When Shechem(A) son of Hamor(B) the Hivite,(C) the ruler of that area, saw her, he took her and raped her.(D) 3 His heart was drawn to Dinah(E) daughter of Jacob;(F) he loved(G) the young woman and spoke tenderly(H) to her. 4 And Shechem said to his father Hamor, “Get me this girl as my wife.”(I)
