23 Their livestock and their possessions: won’t they be ours? Only let us consent to them so that they’ll live with us.”
24 Now everyone who went out of the gate of his city listened to Hamor and to his son Shechem, and every male was circumcised, every one who went out the gate of his city. 25 Then on the third day while they were in pain, two of Jacob’s sons, Simeon and Levi, Dinah’s brothers, each took his sword and came against the city undisturbed and killed every male.

New International Version
23 Won’t their livestock, their property and all their other animals become ours?(A) So let us agree to their terms, and they will settle among us.(B)”
24 All the men who went out of the city gate(C) agreed with Hamor and his son Shechem, and every male in the city was circumcised.
25 Three days later, while all of them were still in pain,(D) two of Jacob’s sons, Simeon(E) and Levi,(F) Dinah’s brothers, took their swords(G) and attacked the unsuspecting city,(H) killing every male.(I)
