15 And Jacob called the name of the place where God spake with him, Beth-el.
16 And they journeyed from Beth-el; and there was still some distance to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labor. 17 And it came to pass, when she was in hard labor, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; for now thou shalt have another son.

15 Jacob called the place where God had talked with him Bethel.[a](A)

16 Then they moved on from Bethel. While they were still some distance from Ephrath,(C) Rachel(D) began to give birth and had great difficulty. 17 And as she was having great difficulty in childbirth, the midwife(E) said to her, “Don’t despair, for you have another son.”(F)
