21 Then Israel journeyed on and pitched his tent beyond the [a](A)tower of [b]Eder.

The Sons of Jacob

22 Now it happened while Israel was dwelling in that land, that (B)Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father’s concubine, and Israel heard of it.

And there were twelve sons of Jacob—

23 (C)the sons of Leah:
Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn,
then Simeon and Levi and Judah and Issachar and Zebulun;

21 Israel moved on again and pitched his tent beyond Migdal Eder.(A) 22 While Israel was living in that region, Reuben went in and slept with his father’s concubine(B) Bilhah,(C) and Israel heard of it.

Jacob had twelve sons:

23 The sons of Leah:(D)

Reuben the firstborn(E) of Jacob,

Simeon, Levi, Judah,(F) Issachar and Zebulun.(G)
