²⁴And they took him and ^(A)threw him into a pit. The pit was empty; there was no water in it.

²⁴and they took him and threw him into the cistern.^(A) The cistern was empty; there was no water in it.

²⁴And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it.

¹¹As for you also, because of ^(A)the blood of my covenant with you,
^(B)I will set your prisoners free from ^(C)the waterless pit.

¹¹As for you, because of the blood of my covenant^(A) with you,
I will free your prisoners^(B) from the waterless pit.^(C)

¹¹As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
