32 and they sent the long robe with sleeves and brought it to their father, and said, “This we have found; see now whether it is your son’s robe or not.” 33 And he recognized it, and said, “It is my son’s robe; a wild beast has devoured him; Joseph is without doubt torn to pieces.” 34 Then Jacob rent his garments, and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days.

New International Version
32 They took the ornate robe(A) back to their father and said, “We found this. Examine it to see whether it is your son’s robe.”
33 He recognized it and said, “It is my son’s robe! Some ferocious animal(B) has devoured him. Joseph has surely been torn to pieces.”(C)
34 Then Jacob tore his clothes,(D) put on sackcloth(E) and mourned for his son many days.(F)
