³³And he identified it and said, “It is my son's robe. ^(A)A fierce animal has devoured him. Joseph is without doubt torn to pieces.”

New International Version

³³He recognized it and said, “It is my son’s robe! Some ferocious animal^(A) has devoured him. Joseph has surely been torn to pieces.”^(B)

³³And he knew it, and said, It is my son's coat; an evil beast hath devoured him; Joseph is without doubt rent in pieces.

²⁶And they told him, “Joseph is still alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt.” And his heart became numb, for he did not believe them.

²⁶They told him, “Joseph is still alive! In fact, he is ruler of all Egypt.”^(A) Jacob was stunned; he did not believe them.^(B)

²⁶And told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob's heart fainted, for he believed them not.
