³⁴Then Jacob tore his clothes,^(A) put on sackcloth^(B) and mourned for his son many days.^(C)

³⁴And Jacob rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days.

⁸So put on sackcloth,^(A)
lament^(B) and wail,
for the fierce anger^(C) of the Lord
has not turned away from us.

⁸For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the Lord is not turned back from us.
