5 Then she gave birth to another son at Chezib. And she gave him the name Shelah.
6 Judah chose a wife for his first-born son Er. Her name was Tamar. 7 But Er, Judah’s first-born, was sinful in the eyes of the Lord. So the Lord took his life.

6 Judah got a wife for Er, his firstborn, and her name was Tamar.(B) 7 But Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the Lord’s sight;(C) so the Lord put him to death.(D)
