Joseph Imprisoned
19 And when Joseph’s master heard the words of his wife, saying, “This is the way your servant treated me,” his anger burned. 20 So Joseph’s master took him and put him in the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were confined; so he was there in the prison. 21 But the Lord was with Joseph and extended lovingkindness to him, and gave him favor in the sight of the warden.

19 When his master heard the story his wife told him, saying, “This is how your slave treated me,” he burned with anger.(A) 20 Joseph’s master took him and put him in prison,(B) the place where the king’s prisoners were confined.
But while Joseph was there in the prison, 21 the Lord was with him;(C) he showed him kindness(D) and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.(E)
