Genesis 39:19-21

19 Then when his master heard the words of his wife, which she told him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me, his anger was kindled.
20 And Joseph’s master took him and put him in [a][b]prison, in the place, where the king’s prisoners lay bound: and there he was in prison.
21 ¶ But the Lord was with Joseph, and [c]showed him mercy, and got him favor in the sight of the [d]master of the prison.

New International Version
19 When his master heard the story his wife told him, saying, “This is how your slave treated me,” he burned with anger.(A) 20 Joseph’s master took him and put him in prison,(B) the place where the king’s prisoners were confined.
But while Joseph was there in the prison, 21 the Lord was with him;(C) he showed him kindness(D) and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.(E)
