2 The Lord was with Joseph [C indicating a covenant relationship], and he ·became a successful man [prospered]. He lived in the house of his master, Potiphar the Egyptian.
3 Potiphar saw that the Lord was with Joseph and that the Lord made Joseph ·successful [prosperous] in everything he did. 4 So ·Potiphar was very happy with Joseph [L Joseph found grace/favor in his eyes] and allowed him to ·be his personal servant [attend him]. He put Joseph in charge of the house, trusting him with everything he owned.

2 The Lord was with Joseph(A) so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. 3 When his master saw that the Lord was with him(B) and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did,(C) 4 Joseph found favor in his eyes(D) and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household,(E) and he entrusted to his care everything he owned.(F)
