Joseph found favor in his sight. Joseph served him, and he made Joseph manager of his household. He put Joseph in charge of everything.

From the time that Potiphar made him manager of his household, in charge of everything that he had, the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s household for Joseph’s sake, and the blessing of the Lord rested on everything that he had, both in the house and in the fields. So he left Joseph in charge of everything that he had. He did not concern himself with anything except the food that he ate.

Joseph was well built and handsome.

Joseph found favor in his eyes(A) and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household,(B) and he entrusted to his care everything he owned.(C) From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the Lord blessed the household(D) of the Egyptian because of Joseph.(E) The blessing of the Lord was on everything Potiphar had, both in the house and in the field.(F) So Potiphar left everything he had in Joseph’s care;(G) with Joseph in charge, he did not concern himself with anything except the food he ate.
