23 They did not know that Joseph understood them. For there was a man between them to tell the meaning of each other’s language. 24 Joseph went away from them and cried. Then he returned to speak with them. And he took Simeon from them and put chains on him in front of his brothers.
Joseph’s Brothers Return to Canaan
25 Then Joseph had their bags filled with grain. He had each man’s money returned to his bag, to buy what was needed as they traveled. So this was done for them.

23 They did not realize(A) that Joseph could understand them,(B) since he was using an interpreter.
24 He turned away from them and began to weep,(C) but then came back and spoke to them again. He had Simeon taken from them and bound before their eyes.(D)
25 Joseph gave orders to fill their bags with grain,(E) to put each man’s silver back in his sack,(F) and to give them provisions(G) for their journey.(H) After this was done for them,
